Getting Around the City: After Destruction

Getting to Pompeii Now

Getting around Pompeii back before Mt. Vesuvius was pretty easy back then, but now Pompeii is slightly hard to reach compared to what many think but all the effort taking is definitely worth it.
Pompeii Train Stations Stop
Taking train to access Pompeii is one of the most popular ways to get there as it only takes 30- 40 minutes from Naples or Sorrento which the train line you would need to take is named the Circumvesuviana Napoli-Sorrento Line.

Other options to reach Pompeii is by bus or boat. These options are really limited if you just want to travel by your self if you want some guidance we would recommend joining a tour group.
If you do deiced to join a tour group often you'll be picked up Naples and be taken on a deluxe bus directly to Pompeii. Needing more information about touring and travelling? Click to this website that we highly recommend for use.

Well preserved street in Pompeii
Something which is extremely important to note that Pompeii inside the town has little to no transport. As it is essential to preserve their ruins and ancient history so we can restore Pompeii for as long as we can. If you need a bit more speed than just walking often there are bikes for hire so you can rent bike for the day if you don't want to walk. But on the good side of things Pompeii was a small town so the amount you have to walk won't be long or a struggle if you have a family.
