History of Mt. Vesuvius: After Destruction

The history of Pompeii is all about Mt Vesuvius as it killed lots of innocent locals in Pompeii. This is the story of Mount Vesuvius deadly eruption.

Mt Vesuvius

Mount Vesuvius eruption
In 79AD Mount Vesuvius erupted without any warning. Mount Vesuvius was a Dormant volcano (a volcano that hasn't erupted for a long time but can still erupt with no warning). At that time Pompeian didn't know what was going on as Mt Vesuvius had smoke coming out of it.  Volcanic gas and ashes started covering the sky and everyone was try to escape. People would get on their
boats and go to another place or their only other option is to run away. Even if people managed to escape very little were able too. For the other people who didn't they had suffered from smelling the gas or were crushed in a house when preparing to run away. As innocent people were not away this eruption wiped out over 3000 local Pompeian in the most deadliest day to ever hit them.

People frozen as statues
Pompeii was preserved well as the whole city was covered in ash. This helps the archaeologists find out more about the history and the people.
Some Pompeian were covered with hot ash that came spewing from the volcano which has caused them to turn into statues. It was one of the worst eruption in the world but at the same time the most famous eruption by Mt Vesuvius, which this volcano is now never expected to erupt again so don't have too much fear.
