 The dining room is normally located towards the back of the house surrounding the garden so while you eat lying down like your on a bed, your spoon fed with entertainment such as dancers or exotic performances.

Taking a good look at the house plan, you'll see several rooms named a cabiculum which is the rooms you'll be not just sleeping as well as getting change or if you just want to chill and have a brake for some some private space or some more activities. In nice weather dining outside is popular and using their garden to serve their cuisines instead of sitting in the triclinium. You'll instantly see many marble furniture, hand crafted sculpture, ponds and is some gardens foundations. From making their space versatile it was common for Pompeian to grow organic vegetables, herbs and fruits for home cooking or medicine.
